Siri returns to her classical roots with the vocal music of two of the greatest American composers of the 20th Century, Samuel Barber and Aaron Copland. Siri performs Barber's Knoxville: Summer of 1915 and Copland's 8 Poems of Emily Dickinson with chamber orchestra, conducted by Robert Ashens, as well as some of the composers' most beautiful songs written for voice and piano. The program will also include two most iconic instrumental works, Barber's Adagio for Strings and a condensed arrangement of Appalachian Spring. tickets: theshedd.org
